For many years, one of the Quad Cities signature events was the Air Show. Typically held at Davenport Municipal Airport off Interstate 80, the event drew thousands of flight fans to the Quad Cities.

Two years ago, organizers announced the annual show would end because Davenport Airport was not willing to make hangers available to store vintage aircraft during the exhibition.

No details on whether that stalemate had been resolved, but according to published reports, the Air Show will return bigger and better than ever for 2019.

Dates for the show are June 29-30, 2019, and the show will feature the United States Navy Blue Angels.

The announcement was made on the Air Show Facebook page yesterday.
