The Quad Cities Are Hosting Their Very Own Fashion Week
We may not be Paris, but the fashion world isn't overlooking the Quad Cities. This year, we have our own fashion week. In fact, this week we have our own fashion week.
Technically, it's this weekend, but the hype will be real all week long. According to the Quad City Times, "the first Quad Cities Fashion Week will show that beauty comes in all shapes, sizes and colors, and that it's more than skin deep."
That's a message we can definitely get behind.
This Thursday, there will be a "Comedy Catwalk" at Davenport's Village Theatre. Then, the first QCFW fashion show will happen this Saturday, April 27, in the conference rooms at Moline's TaxSlayer Center.
It's all led by a group of young women who are striving to inspire and empower the Quad Cities through arts and fashion, highlighting local businesses, boosting the self-esteem of any and every model and raising money for a good cause.
And, if you're feeling truly inspired, you can even take modeling classes at the Figge!
