The Quad Cities Celebrates Cinco De Mayo
This weekend is another one of those holidays that we celebrate as a excuse to get out and have some fun. It's Cinco De Mayo weekend. The date is observed to commemorate the Mexican Army's unlikely victory over the French Empire at the Battle of Puebla, on May 5, 1862, under the leadership of General Ignacio Zaragoza. Seriously though, it's gonna be nice out this weekend. Do we need a reason to go out and have fun?
What ever your reason to celebrate this weekend make sure it includes a stop to Ganzo's Mexican Restaurant in Davenport. They usually have one of the biggest parties in the Quad Cities including The Ganzo's Cinco De Mayo 5K starting at 9am on Saturday. The race benefits the Quad Cities Autism Center.
So thins weekend, make sure you enjoy yourself and remember to not drink and drive.
