East Moline Makes Road In Front Of The Rust Belt Into One-Way
Live music lovers, there's an update you need to know.
You may need to leave a bit earlier to get to the shows at The Rust Belt this year. East Moline is working on a $2 million project that involves the word "revitalization" around downtown.
Starting April 13th, 12th Ave. is one-way westbound, starting at 7th Street (the street The Palace is on) and going all the way down to 55th Street (the 2nd light from The Rust Belt).
How To Get To The Good Live Music
It's live music season, we don't want to miss any good shows, and luckily there are a couple of easy ways to still get to The Rust Belt this summer. You can either:
- From 7th Street, turn west onto 12th then turn right into the venue
- Also from 7th Street, go through the 7th Street and 12th Avenue intersection, turn left into the East Moline Glass parking lot, and continue on to the back of the venue
Here's a map for clarity:
And in summary, here's how the area will look overall:
So as you can see, the detours you'll have to take to get to The Rust Belt aren't insane. It's just a couple of extra turns.
At some point, the project will switch to one-way eastbound on 12th but it's not known yet when exactly that switch will happen.
As you're probably wondering, the construction on the project is expected to last until November.
