A QC Confectionary Is Making The Move To Bettendorf From Moline
The Iowa side of the QC is about to get a little sweeter.
The Shameless Chocoholic has been in operation in Moline and LeClaire for years. It's owned and operated by Rebecca Burns, who has been crafting chocolate goodies for 20 years. The Shameless Chocoholic's Moline location has been at 1526 River Drive. That location is now closing and will be moving operations to Bettendorf.
The Shameless Chocoholic's LeClaire location (which is at 101 South Cody Road) isn't going anywhere and will be open. The new Bettendorf location will be at 2244 State Street, according to the Quad-City Times.
When The Iowa Side Can Expect The Truffles
It doesn't look like it will be a long wait. The projected opening date for The Shameless Chocoholic in Bettendorf is March 6th. The chocolatier offers a large selection (over 120 varieties, to be specific) of fudges, truffles, buttercreams, toffee, caramels, and more, according to their website. Some are 'spirited truffles', infused with liquors like Bailey's or Jack Daniels. They also have caramel apples and gummy bears and seasonal collections for holidays like Valentine's Day and Easter.
Their chocolates are handmade on the premises. The Quad-City Times also says that the store will offer different classes on Saturdays. That will include things like education, interactive creation, and of course, tasting.
As they gear up to open the new location, you can keep up with the latest updates from The Shameless Chocoholic on their Facebook page. I suddenly feel like I need chocolate truffles now.
