On the more unique side of winter activities, there's this.

When you think of things to do in the winter, you probably think of ice skating, strolls with hot chocolate, driving to look around at Christmas lights. You probably don't think about the popular attraction that's gearing up to open in Chicago.

Back for another winter along the Chicago River are Chicago Electric Boat Company's viral "Hot Tub Boats".

It's not going to be the cheapest thing. An hour and a half float is $350. Up to 6 passengers are allowed on it and the max weight is 800 lbs. The boats are steered by the guests using a hand lever. Nudity isn't allowed so forget that idea.

The hot tub boats will be open anytime there's not ice on the river. Ron Silver, president of Chicago Electric Boat Company, said they'll be cruising during snowstorms and pretty days. Sounds like a really fun snowstorm activity if you want to confuse your body temperature.

Food isn't allowed on the boats but guests can stock the boat's cooler with whatever drinks they want, as long as there's a "designated captain". The boats also have Bluetooth speakers that guests can hook their phones up to.

Booking is open for the hot tub boats and the company's heated Duffy Cruises on their website. First rides for the winter season begin Nov. 13th.

The hot tub boats went viral in winter 2023 with waitlists for almost every day so if it's something you want to do, you should probably go ahead and book it.
