The major zoomies.

Let's review how not to ride a motorcycle, shall we?

Common sense should tell you that if you love to ride motorcycles (understandable, they're super fun), you have to be super careful. Don't do what this guy in Cedar Rapids did this last week.

According to Cedar Rapids outlet KCRG, on Wednesday night, Kyle Ward (the motorcycle rider) decided to goof off along Highway 100. Department of Transportation cameras picked up at least two times that Ward popped a wheelie.

KCRG obtained footage from traffic cameras that showed the chase, with speeds reaching around 177 mph. In one clip, police are at least 20 seconds behind Ward, on Highway 30 at the Williams Blvd. exit.

Watch it:

Iowa State Patrol Trooper Bob Conrad said chases like this one are dangerous. Not just for the rider but also for other people on the road and first responders. Trooper Conrad told the outlet:

A lot of times those fatalities are related to the way the operator is operating the bike. You get like a risk behavior when they get on a bike that they wouldn’t get in a car, but because it goes so fast so quick

Police say they used Iowa State Patrol's plane to keep up with Ward during the chase. Cedar Rapids PD put a social media release out on it:

177 mph is insanely high but does it break the state speeding record? It comes awfully close.

Still standing is a record set in 2009 of a guy going 188 mph in a construction zone.

What Happened There: There May Be A New Record For Iowa's Fastest Speeding Ticket

Now, Ward is obviously facing a litany of charges, all the way from felony eluding to improper tires.
