We Need A Huge Festival For The Truck Eating Bridge Of Davenport
If you live in Davenport or have at least visited the area you are most likely very aware of the infamous truck-eating bridges. There are a few in the area with the biggest beast located on Harrison Street right when you head toward downtown Davenport, and of course on Brady Street when leaving the downtown area.
I think now is the perfect time to celebrate the beast, or rather raise awareness about how low it really is. I have a few reasons why this festival, or day for the bridges would be great.
The Reasons to "Celebrate"
- Bring more awareness to how low this bridge is and maybe be able to make more outsiders driving in the area aware of its danger.
- We get to party, and downtown businesses get more traffic.
- I have never seen a truck get eaten before and I'd like to see it in a controlled environment... so yes we would sacrifice a truck to the bridge for the festival.
*Bonus* We can decorate the bridge.
In all seriousness, the bridge is very infamous, and I believe many local residents would get behind this idea for a special bridge day or festival. Let's take a look at some of the recent bridge attacks.
Trucks that have been eaten by the beast bridge
Many trucks have sadly fallen victim to the bridge. Here are only a few.

This attack was very recent. You can read more here.
Many other strange attacks from this truck-eating bridge have been documented. It's like a big foot at this point with how many stories there are. Here are some other ones:
With this large number of stories and pictures, we should definitely have a day around this bridge. I think it could become huge.
