One of the best things about living in the Quad Cities is all the incredible events that are always happening, and we'd like you to know about them so you can go! So if you need something fun to do this week or weekend, we've got some suggestions.

Spring is hatching, and so are all the little ducklings at the Annual Duck Hatching at John Deere Pavilion. Starting March 31 and running through April 4, you can bring the kids down to see the ducks hatch, and on April 1 you can even have their picture taken with the little duckies. For more information about this free event, visit JohnDeerePavilion.com.

LeClaire is also packed with fun activities this weekend. On First Friday, you can find many special offers of food and drink from the Mississippi Rive Distilling Company, Wide River Winery, Faithful Pilot Cafe, and Sneaky Pete's Woodfire Grille, as well as several other restaurants and shops, many of which will remain open late and offer awesome discounts. On Saturday, stop by the Wide River Winery for their Easter Bonnet Contest. Wear your Easter best and enjoy some great wine.

Looking into next week, there's a featured speaker at St. Ambrose University, talking about Women in Iran. Hamideh Sedghi ranks among the leading scholars of gender politics in Iran and the Middle East, and her talk is sure to be incredible. You can find this event in the Rogalski Center on Monday, April 6 starting at 7 pm.

And don't forget! As of March 23, Niabi Zoo is open for the season. Their hours run from 10 and to 5 pm, Monday through Saturday and 11 am to 5 pm on Sunday.

That's what's going on around the Quad Cities this week. Did we miss anything? If you have a fun event that we didn't mention, be sure to let us know!
