Whitey’s Closes NorthPark Mall Location After 33 Years

After 33 years, Whitey's Ice Cream has announced that they have closed the location inside the NorthPark Mall in Davenport.

Over the weekend, Whitey's Ice Cream announced on their Facebook page that they  have decided to close their NorthPark Mall location. The Whitey's Ice Cream in the NorthPark Mall has been there for 33 years.

In the social media post, Whitey's Ice Cream officials say that the store was originally shut down in March due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The NorthPark Mall location has continued to remain closed since that time.

Whitey's officials said that they made the decision to close the NorthPark Mall location because their lease was ending soon. The decision to permanently close this location was made a couple months early.

Officials from Whitey's Ice Cream ended their announcement on social media by saying,

"We are very sad to be closing this store, but know it's the right time. We want to thank each and every customer for their business at this location over the past 33 years. Additionally, we want to thank all of our extraordinary employees who helped build this location into a fantastic store."
