You Can Nominate A Grand Marshal For Bettendorf’s 4th Of July Parade

Know anyone particularly cool in Bettendorf? You can nominate them to be the Grand Marshal of Bettendorf's 4th of July parade!

The 4th of July will be here before you know it so the city of Bettendorf has opened the nominations for it's Grand Marshal for it's parade.

Requirements

Of course it would be super fun to be a Grand Marshal. But there are a few requirements for nominees though, per Bettendorf's website. Here they are:

• person must have made "significant contributions to the quality of life in the city" (in either civic or social services, humanitarianism, or personal achievements in athletics or the arts)
• nominees must be a current resident, long-time past resident, or have brought some distinction to Bettendorf
• person must be willing and available to be the Grand Marshal on Tuesday, July 4th.

If you've nominated someone before and they didn't get picked to be the Grand Marshal, you're welcome to nominate that person again. The deadline for nominations is Friday, May 5th.

If you have a Grand Marshal nominee ready to go, send that person's name, contact info, and a short biography of them to Lauran Haldeman, lhaldeman@bettendorf.org. Or you can snail mail it to her:
