City Of Davenport’s Community Wide Egg Hunt Postponed Due To Weather
The City of Davenport was planning on having their 2022 Community Wide Egg Hunt this Saturday, April 2nd. Mother Nature has thrown a wrench in those plans with inclement weather heading towards the Quad Cities. To make sure people aren't hunting for eggs in the cold and rain (a little bit of possible snow), the City of Davenport has postponed their egg hunt by a week.
On Friday, April 1st, the City of Davenport announced that they are postponing their 2022 Community Wide Egg Hunt. The egg hunt was scheduled to begin on Saturday at 11 a.m. and end at 1 p.m. The 2022 Community Wide Egg Hunt was supposed to be held at Vander Veer Botanical Park.
The postponement of the event is due to inclement weather, according to Davenport city officials. This is what the forecast looks like for Davenport, according to the National Weather Service of the Quad Cities:
- Saturday
- Rain, mainly before 1pm.
- High near 48.
- Southeast wind 5 to 15 mph becoming northwest in the morning. Winds could gust as high as 25 mph. C
- hance of precipitation is 90%.
- New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
Luckily, the Community-Wide Egg Hunt is only being pushed back by one week. Davenport officials said along with the announcement of the postponement that the City of Davenport Community Egg Hunt will instead be held on Saturday, April 9th. The times of the event will remain the same, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., and the rescheduled egg hunt will also take place at the Vander Veer Botanical Park.
