Clinton Irish Pub Is Serving Up These Awesome, Delicious Mega Mimosas [PHOTOS]

We've seen ultimate Bloody Mary's before. The popular breakfast/brunch alcoholic beverage consists of tomato juice, spices, vodka, and celery stick, but is made ultimate with burgers, bacon, fried chicken, and basically the entire kitchen sink. While we've seen Quad-City area restaurants make ultimate Bloody Mary's, an Irish bar in Clinton is amping up their mimosas and creating Mega Mimosas.

If you consider yourself a professional Quad Cities bruncher, you're going to need to make a stop at an Irish pub in Clinton to try their Mega Mimosa. The name of the Irish pub: Hook's Pub & Grill.

James and Amy Hook are the owners of Hook's Pub & Grill, located at
318 N 4th St. in Clinton. The Irish pub in Clinton has been around since 2003 and is a local favorite. Clinton locals love Hook's for many reasons, but some of those reasons include their large selection of nearly 20 craft and import beers, live music, breakfast and lunch/dinner menus, Mega Bloody Mary's, and now, Mega Mimosas.

I spoke with James about the new creation of the Mega Mimosa. While Hook's has bottomless mimosas on Sundays, James and Amy wanted to take the breakfast/brunch game to an entirely new level. James said that he and a regular came up with the idea for the Mega Mimosa and after introducing it on Super Bowl Sunday, it looks like it's going to be a hit and will be sticking around for a while.

The Mega Mimosa

If you were wondering what was included in the Mega Mimosa, get ready, because it's a lot! The Mega Mimosa contains premium champagne with a choice of 3 juices orange, cranberry, or pineapple. The 4 skewers include 2 strips of bacon, donuts, pastries, strawberries, pineapple, mango, honeydew melon, cantaloupe, and grapes. While you probably can't see it, they also include raspberries and blueberries in the Mimosa.

You might think this Mega Mimosa would cost a fortune, but the price tag for the Mega Mimosa at Hook's is only $13.50! But you can't get this bad boy every day. The Mega Mimosa is only vailable every Sunday from 8:00 am until Noon. It's included in their Sunday breakfast menu, which we'll get to that in a second.

The Mega Mimosa isn't the only mega thing on the Hook's menu. They also have the Mega Bloody Mary.

The Mega Bloody Mary

the Mega Bloody Mary is also included in Hook's Sunday breakfast menu. The Mega Bloody Mary isn't your standard Bloody Mary.

The Mega Bloody Mary comes with a burger slider, chicken strips, cheese curds, jalapeño poppers, onion rings, and donuts. The price tag for the Mega Bloody Mary is $13.50 as well.
