Mr. Martinez was nominated by a parent, Rachel S. She said in her nomination:

Mr. Martinez teaches US History at Central High School in Davenport. My son has always hated history until this year. Mr. Martinez has exciting, interesting projects that help students understand US History. For instance, after studying the social changes that occurred during the 20's, students created menus for a Speakeasy (all non-alcoholic:) and then had to use a secret password to get into class where they could then try different drinks.

My son loves history now and Mr. Martinez has truly been the person who has opened his mind-up to the importance of knowing our shared past. Mr. Martinez has made a difference and that is remarkable.

Awesome job, Mr. Martinez!

For being our QC Teacher of the Week, Mr. Martinez has been rewarded with a B100 Prize Pack, including stickers and more, plus chocolate goodies from Ultimate Chocolates in Bettendorf!

Thank you for your hard work and dedication, Mr. Martinez!
