Davenport MidCity High School Teacher Honored For Helping Students Feel “Safe, Valued, And Loved”

The semester is ending but we're still going out one more times this semester for our surprise with Ultimate Chocolates to highlight and reward a deserving Quad Cities teacher.

It's now time to announce this week's B100 & Ultimate Chocolate's QC Teacher of the Week!

Congrats to Tangie Crandall, Special Education Level 2 teacher at MidCity High School in Davenport!

Ms. Crandall was nominated by Alyssa S., who said in her nomination:

Tangie Crandall from Mid City in the Davenport Community School District deserves to win Teacher of the Week with B100 because she is one of the most hardworking, caring, and passionate teachers I know. She goes above and beyond every single day to make sure her students are supported, encouraged, and challenged to be the best they can be.

 

What stands out most about Tangie is the way she cares for her students like they are her own children. She takes the time to truly know each student, understand what they need, and make them feel safe, valued, and loved. Whether it’s offering extra help, listening when a student is struggling, or celebrating their successes, Tangie always puts her students first.

 

She creates a classroom where students feel supported not only academically, but emotionally as well. Her kindness, patience, and dedication make a lasting impact on so many students and families. Davenport is lucky to have a teacher like Tangie Crandall making a difference every day.
