Davenport Declares Second Snow Emergency For Downtown, Hilltop Campus Village
After another 5 inches of snow fell on the Quad Cities on New Year's Day, the City of Davenport is still clearing roads and parking spaces of snow and ice. To clear snow in the Downtown and Hilltop Campus Village areas of Davenport, city officials have announced a second Snow Emergency has been issued.
On Monday, January 3rd, 2022, the City of Davenport issued a second Snow Emergency specifically for Downtown Davenport and the Hilltop Campus Village. The Snow Emergency will be in effect from 9:00 p.m., Monday, January 3, through 6:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 4.
City officials say that residents and visitors to Downtown Davenport may park in the City’s ramps for free from 5:00 p.m. Monday, January 3rd, through 8:00 a.m., January 4.
City of Davenport officials reminds residents that vehicles parked on Posted Snow Routes during snow emergencies will be ticketed and may be towed. For details on the area impacted by this snow emergency, visit www.davenportiowa.com/winter and use the Posted Snow Routes link.
Again, residents and visitors to Downtown Davenport may park in the City’s ramps for free from 5:00 p.m. Monday, January 3rd, through 8:00 a.m., January 4. Those ramps include:
- Redstone Parking Ramp – 101 Main St.
- Harrison Parking Ramp – 202 Harrison St.
- RiverCenter Parking Ramp – 102 E 2nd St.
- (The RiverCenter Ramp is also accessible via 3rd Street across from Adler Theatre.)
