Road Closures Announced For 50th Bix 7 Weekend In Davenport
It's going to be very busy on Saturday, July 27th in downtown Davenport. A summer staple for the past 50 years will once again takeover 7 miles of road in Davenport. That's right, the 50th running of the Bix 7 is this weekend.
The 50th Quad City Times Bix 7 take place on Saturday, July 27th, 2024, in Davenport. That means road closures and a lot of them. If you plan to go downtown this weekend, bring with you patients and extra time because you'll need it to find parking.
Davenport Road Closures For Bix 7
Ahead of the Bix weekend in Davenport, the City of Davenport has released road closure maps for the 50th Bix 7.
The Bix 7 race will be the usual road closures in downtown Davenport with a few minor adjustments from last year.
Below is the written out list of the Bix 7 road closures and then we'll show you the Bix 7 course map. A quick note that all downtown parking ramps will offer free parking from 5 a.m.-5 p.m. on Saturday, July 27th.

- 5 p.m. Thursday - 9 p.m. Thursday
- Brady St - from 4th St to Kirkwood
Road Closures Starting Friday
- 9 a.m. Friday - 6 a.m. Sunday
- 3rd St -- from Ripley St to Harrison St
- 1 p.m. Friday - 12 p.m. Saturday
- Le Claire St - from 4th St to River Dr
- 4th St -- from Pershing Ave to River Dr
- 3rd St -- from Iowa St to River Dr
- Iowa St -- from 4th St to 3rd St
Road Closures Starting Saturday
- 4 a.m. Saturday - 12 p.m. Saturday
- 2nd St -- from Main St to Perry St
- 3rd St -- from Main St to Iowa St
- 4th St -- from Main St to Pershing Ave
- Brady St -- from 4th St to River Dr & during the race
- Perry St -- starting at 4th St during the race to 15th St.
