It seems like businesses in downtown Rock Island have experienced some challenges lately. Neighborhood violence forced city leaders to close businesses in the Rock Island District early causing financial hardships.

Now one of those businesses is closing permanently.

Billy Bob's Redneck Party Bar, 1722 2nd Ave., Rock Island, is closing permanently.

The business will close for good Saturday, Oct. 3. They plan to have a going out of business party next weekend.
