Eastern Iowa Social Studies Teacher Honored For Making A Difference In Students’ Lives

The Spring 2025 semester is rolling on. So of course, we are out with our awesome program with Famous Dave's to honor and reward a great Quad Cities teacher.

It's now time to announce this week's B100 & Famous Dave's QC Teacher of the Week!

Congrats to Joe Malik, Social Studies teacher at Sudlow Intermediate in Davenport!

Mr. Malik, who has been teaching for many years, was nominated by a mother and son duo, Michelle and Henry. Here's what student Henry said in his nomination:

My nomination for teacher of the week is Mr. Malik. Mr. Malik is a hardworking and fun Sudlow intermediate teacher who thrives to make us students have a lot of fun. He teaches social studies in room 211 and he is the best teacher in the world. Please let him be teacher of the week.

Here's mom Michelle's nomination of Mr. Malik:

Mr. Malik has taught both of my boys for 7th grade social studies.  It would be great for him to win this award so he can see that he has made a difference in teaching these students for so many years.  Henry absolutely loves going to his class each day. Thank you Mr. Malik for being such an amazing teacher and hope you enjoy retirement!
