If you like booze with your waffles, Eggo has released a new drink to select locations that happens to include stores in the Quad Cities.

Brands often come out with weird stuff. Recently, Mustard Skittles were an actual thing (that likely no one asked for). It doesn't feel very often that the QC gets included in the 'select locations' part of new products but for this specific release, we are.

People like waffles. People like booze. So obviously it's a good idea to combine the two, right?

Eggo (yes, the infamous waffles) is releasing a bevy called 'Brunch In A Jar'. It's waffle-flavored, with notes of "sweet maple syrup and rich butter, with a hint of smoky bacon". It's not for kids though. This one is 20% alcohol, 40 proof.

I love waffles. I love a boozy beverage with my brunch. But I'm not sure how the taste of maple syrup wouldn't totally overwhelm this drink. It seems like it could be a very hit-or-miss thing. Either way, it's probably safe to say it's going to be a drink that's sweeter than Candyland so if you don't like your booze sweet, this one's a pass for you.

Sugarlands Distilling Company, which is based in Tennessee, teamed up with Eggo for this and it's their booze that supposedly gives the drink the 'smoky bacon' undertone.

It's available in select states online and in select locations nationwide, which happens to include several places in the QC.
