Ever Buy a Bud Light ‘Rita’? You Can Get Your Money Back!

Everywhere you look these days, people are drinking seltzer and other types of canned cocktails. But one of the first products of its kind on the market was made by beer giant Anheuser Busch. Who hasn't seen cans of Bud Light 'Rita' in a variety of different flavors? Perhaps you've even tried a few. If that is the case, you might just get your money back due to a classic case of false advertising.

According to TODAY, Anheuser Busch has settled a huge class action lawsuit and will now reimburse those who feel they were deceived by the packaging of their 'Rita' line of drinks. What was so wrong with the packaging? Consumers were apparently tricked into thinking they contained more than just beer. TODAY reports that the case set out to prove that the name 'Lime-A-Rite' was misleading because a traditional margarita contains tequila and other spirits. 'Ritas' only contain beer with fruit flavoring.

So who is eligible for a refund? TODAY reports that customers can go to the website RitasSettlement.com. Anyone who purchased one of 112 different 'Ritas' branded products in the U.S. between 2018 and July 19th, 2022 can fill out a claim form for a refund. Customers who have receipts can claim up to $21.25 per household. If you don't have a receipt, you can still get $9.75. You have until December 16th to take part in the settlement. You won't exactly be breaking the bank, but if you're offended that your 'Rita' drink didn't have any tequila in it, here is your chance at redemption.
