Attention parents in Rock Island County! Today is the final diaper drive to collect free diapers for your child(ren). Make sure you plan to collect your diapers from 1 - 3 p.m. today.

2020 has been a crazy year with COVID-19. This global pandemic has put people out of jobs, closed businesses, made millions sick and has killed hundreds of thousands too. But even with a pandemic happening, there are still organization out there helping people out as much as possible.

Today (Tuesday, Dec. 1), parents in Rock Island County can pick up free diapers one last time this year. The free diaper drive through is from 1 to 3 p.m., and is being will held at the health department at 2112 25th Avenue in Rock Island.

Families who are coming to collect diapers will be able to receive 50 diapers per child. These are diapers are courtesy of Loving Bottoms Diaper Bank and Hiney Heroes.

When collecting diapers, everyone must remain in the vehicle they came in. Masks will also be required of everyone over the age of 2 even while in the vehicle.

Families can pick up diapers from the garage at the back of the Rock Island County Health Department. They are the garages closest to UnityPoint-Trinity.

Officials say that there will be two lines for traffic. One line for the diapers, the other for WIC or other health department services. Staff members will be on-hand to help direct traffic.

This final free diaper pick up is for Rock Island County and Illinois residents only.
