Some switch-ups are coming to a beloved QC pizza chain.

Happy Joe's, who a lot of us call in those moments we just must have pizza, is being acquired by a group of investors in the Quad Cities.

As part of the new ownership, the investors are letting you know to expect some menu changes.

Carlos Araujo, who was named president of the company and has operated restaurants with the team for over a year, told KWQC:

Happy Joe’s has meant something to families in this region for more than 50 years, and that is not something you take lightly. This is a brand people love, and our job is to take great care of it — great food every visit, restaurants families are proud to bring their kids to, and birthday parties that create the same memories for the next generation that so many of us grew up with. That is where the work starts.

All I'm saying is the personal-size pizzas better not go anywhere.

But have no fear: of course the taco pizzas are staying.

The new ownership group said that they will focus on "ensuring consistent quality across all locations" and also throwing in some menu updates, including new items, family bundles, and celebrating their signature taco pizza. There's no further details on the menu changes besides those, as of now.

Now that you're hungry for pizza, you can find the closest Happy Joe's to you on their website.

Before it was ever a chain, Happy Joe's first location was in the Village of East Davenport, opening on November 16, 1972.

top 10 best movies about football

Football movies work because the game is a perfect pressure cooker for drama. Whether it’s a coach trying to hold a locker room together or an underdog fighting for a single play on the field, these stories usually end up being about way more than just what happens between the whistles. They’re about ego, community, and those "get up off the dirt" moments we all wish we had in real life.
