New Hawaiian Restaurant Opening In Davenport
A new island flavor is gearing up to open it's doors in the Quad Cities.
As we told you about last year, Hawaiian Bros Island Grill has been in the works for a location in Davenport. Finally, it's coming to fruition this summer.
The opening date is set to be July 29th. It's on 53rd, by the Elmore intersection, where Wendy's used to be.
Hawaiian Bros. is a chain that is opening it's first Iowa location in Davenport, with a plan to open 10 locations across Iowa, according to the Des Moines Register.
They already have locations in Chicago, Edwardsville, and O'Fallon in Illinois.
Beachy Menu
Hawaiian Bros. menu looks very yummy, with plates including Huli Huli Chicken, Molokai Chicken, Honolulu Chicken, Luau Pig, Seasoned Veggies, and Kilauea Chicken. They also offer a Pacific Island Salad and have ways for you to make your meal low carb. Available sides are macaroni salad, pineapple chunks, or white rice.
You can also get SPAM (yes the canned meat) Musubi (which is seared SPAM doused in teriyaki sauce on top of white rice wrapped in dry seaweed). For dessert, you can get Dole Soft Serve.
The plates are available in sizes small, classic, and large. All menu items are gluten-free, except for the macaroni salad and the chow mein noodles on the Pacific Island Salad.
You'll order from a kiosk and you can expect your food to be ready in about 30 seconds. There will also be a drive-thru.
There's no word yet on the hours for the new Hawaiian Bros location.
