Help Older Kids In The Quad Cities This Christmas with “Toiletries 4 Teens”

During the holiday season, many of us support organizations that provide joy and toys to the children of the Quad Cities.  As we should.  But, what about the teenagers that are past toys but still need something for Christmas that they might not otherwise get.  This is where "Toiletries 4 Teens" comes into play.

The idea for Toiletries 4 Teens came from Stephanie with Lucky's Beauty Bus in Davenport.  Her vision is to get at least 300 bags worth of hygiene items delivered to boys and girls of the Quad Cities.

How can you help?

While the donations have been coming in over the last couple of months, they can use more, and the place to donate will be at their Masquerade Party. December 4th 8 p.m. till midnight at the therapeutic Institute of Massage School right off of 5 Points on Locust. There is a $10 cover charge that includes one free beverage. There will be a lot of free will donation baked good sales. All to help raise money for Toiletries 4 Teens.

If you are unable to make the party, you can still donate.  We have set up a basket for you to drop off your items here at the Rock & Roll Mansion.  Stop by between 8:30-4:30 Monday-Friday before 12/15 and help out.

Then, on December 19th at 3 p.m., at the Sugar Shack in Davenport across from Rudy's, there will be free hygiene bags for all the kids aged 13-17 (please bring proof of birth date) with a few stations that are first come first serve including dry good foods, clothes, and more. They will also be providing a chili dinner with hot cocoa on the side. (While supplies last.)
