The Humane Society of Scott County is hosting an event soon for pups and their parents.

Sometimes we get busy and we don't get to spend much time with our pets. An event coming up soon hopes to give pet parents a day with our furbabies.

Dogs Day Out will be on September 16th at Centennial Park in Davenport from 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m.

There will be pups (obviously), food trucks, and activities and games for you and your pet to enjoy. They will have dog yoga, DIY class on making enrichment toys for your pup, dunk an Animal Protection Officer, and 'Adopt A Pet', which is picking out a (stuffed) animal for your kiddo to teach them about the adoption process.

They will also have $10 microchips available with the Quad City Animal Welfare Center, which is something super important for pet owners to make sure is done with their furbaby.

Multiple pet-related vendors will be set up at the event, like dog trainers, kennel services, and more. All admission and ticket sales will go to help the Humane Society of Scott County.

If you take your pup out to Dogs Day Out, make sure he or she is on a leash and up to date on vaccinations, and probably a good idea to consider if your pup is social and friendly too. Don't create drama there. You can get more details about the event and how you can help out the Humane Society of Scott County on their Facebook page.
