“I Had A Goat Leg Grafted Onto My Left Leg” Quad Cities News BEST Prank Call
Today on the Dwyer & Michaels Morning Show, Kevin emailed us about the lottery drawing, and gave us a sob story referencing a news clip from years and years ago.
"I had the winning numbers for the Monday drawing for the past Saturday drawing and it's really upsetting to me because I was going to use that money to have a goat's leg crafted onto my leg because of a gruesome injury when I was a child."
If you don't remember, the Quad Cities' Channel 8 News used to have a call-in segment where they'd bring in different experts throughout the week. After a multitude of fake and prank calls, the segment eventually went away, but it brought us one of our favorite moments in Quad Cities broadcast history.
This particular day, a podiatric surgeon was in the studio, and they were accepting foot care-related surgeries.
While the segment gets rolling, the first caller says "I had what many would consider a clubbed foot when I was younger, and this clubbed foot was so bad that I had to have it removed when I was about 13, and I had a goat leg grafted onto my left leg."
The podiatric surgeon tries hard not to smile and laugh, and takes a calming breath before a half smile spreads across his face, while the anchor says "Let's go ahead and go on to our next caller."
As the next caller picks up, they ask the question, "Yeah, can you tell me what to do for a wart on your foot and what to do for an athlete's foot?"
The final question of the segment starts and is cutoff at "Hi, yes, is habitual masturbation-"
"Let's go ahead and take a quick break," the anchor says as Dr. Miller is now smiling and trying not to absolutely laugh his ass off.
Check out the whole thing, uploaded by a band called "Human Aftertaste" that claimed credit for the hilarious train-wreck of a segment.
