If You Bought This at a QC Burger King, They May Owe You Money
Croissan'wich lovers, you could be entitled to a refund.
A class action lawsuit was recently settled against BK after one woman claimed the fast food restaurant overcharged her. Fox Chicago says Koleta Anderson from Maryland purchased two Croissan'wiches using a buy one, get one free coupon and was charged $3.19 before tax. However, when she tried purchasing one Croissan'wich, its regular price was just $2.16, meaning the chain had added on over a dollar for using a coupon. Anderson found this was the case at multiple restaurants.
BK is offering $5 in cash or a $2 gift card to those who purchased 2 Croissan'wiches using a BOGO coupon between October 1, 2015 and May 19, 2017 at any Burger King location nationwide, including the Quad Cities. You must file the claim by this January 19. No word on whether or not you need to produce a receipt to receive the cash, but find more information on filing a claim here.
You may think it sounds ridiculous to bring a court case against a restaurant for being slightly overcharged, but it sounds like Anderson was pretty deadset on proving her point. Everyone has been wronged by a restaurant at one point or another, so this may be the time to get a little piece of justice.
