Though the massive Powerball jackpot has been hit, there were smaller winners in multiple states, including Illinois and Wisconsin.

The jackpot on Wednesday night was $1.08 billion, the 3rd largest jackpot in the history of the game, and according to NBC Chicagotickets that won at least $1 million were sold in Illinois, Indiana, and Wisconsin.

The winning numbers in Wednesday's drawing were: 7, 13, 10, 24, 11, 24.

The ticket that hit the Powerball jackpot was sold in downtown Los Angeles at Las Palmitas Mini Market.

In total, 36 tickets in 16 states matched 5 numbers in the game to earn at least $1 million each.

It hasn't been said where in Illinois the winning ticket was bought.

Other states that had winners include Connecticut, Florida, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Maryland, Missouri, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Texas, and West Virginia.

It has been a hot minute since the last time someone won the Powerball jackpot. The last time it happened was April 19th, when the jackpot was nearly $253 million. The largest Powerball jackpot was just back in November, when the total was $2.04 billion. Your odds of winning the Powerball jackpot are awful, only about 1 in 292.2 million. But hey, someone's gotta win it, why not you?

Now the Powerball jackpot resets to $20 million (lower total but I still wouldn't mind that in my bank account) and the next drawing will be Saturday at 9:59 p.m. Meanwhile, Mega Millions will draw on Friday night, with a jackpot of $720 million.
