Study Proves Iowa Is The Better State To Drive In Than Illinois
There is always a battle between Iowa and Illinois drivers. We argue about who has the better drivers and which state is better to drive in. A new study has proved that Iowa is a better state to drive in. The study also proves that overall, Iowa is the best state to drive in.
Our friends at WalletHub have conducted a study to show 2022's Best and Worst States to Drive in. To figure this out and to rank the states, WalletHub compared the 50 states across four key dimensions:
- Cost of Ownership & Maintenance
- Traffic & Infrastructure
- Safety
- Access to Vehicles & Maintenance
WalletHub evaluated those dimensions using 31 relevant metrics. Each metric was graded on a 100-point scale, with a score of 100 representing the best for drivers.
Finally, WalletHub did a bunch of math and determined each state’s weighted average across all metrics. That allowed them to calculate their overall score and used each state's score to rank-order the states.
