Iowa Has 2 Of America’s Best Cities To Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day
We're closing in on St. Patrick's Day 2023. Many people already have plans in place to celebrate the patron saint of Ireland in Iowa and Illinois. If you're looking for the best places to celebrate St. Patty's Day in Iowa, technically it's not the City of Davenport.
A new study shows that one eastern Iowa city and Iowa's capital are among two of the best places to yell 'Sláinte!' and slam a Guinness. Why is Davenport not on this list? Let's find out.
Iowa has two of the best cities to celebrate St. Patrick's Day. Why isn't one of them Davenport?
WalletHub released its list of the best cities to celebrate St. Patty's Day this year. To find out which cities are the best, they compared 200 of the most populated U.S. cities across four key dimensions:
- St. Patrick’s Day Traditions
- Costs
- Safety & Accessibility
- St. Patrick’s Day Weather
Iowa apparently has two major cities within the top 200. Des Moines I can see but Cedar Rapids? Really? I know Cedar Rapids is a little bigger than Davenport but at least Davenport has a parade that's one of its kind. What the hell kind of a drunk name for a St. Patrick's Day is SaPaDaPaSo?
How did Cedar Rapids and Des Moines do on this list?
Really well, actually. Cedar Rapids landed in the top 20 at #17. Iowa's capital, Des Moines wasn't far behind, landing at #22.
Pretty cool to say Cedar Rapids and Des Moines are among the best cities in the U.S. to celebrate St. Patrick's Day.
Illinois had the third-best city to celebrate St. Patrick's Day. Which city is it? Find out here.
