Naked Florida Man Arrested For Taking Down Neighbor’s Broken Light
When you're trying to sleep, and there's something going on outside of your window, it's the most annoying thing in the world. Whether it's noisy neighbors or some kind of a motion light that's malfunctioning or too bright, it makes it hard to sleep, and you'd do anything to fix it.
Well, 62-year-old Robert Boston, faces one count each of trespass with intent to commit an offense and criminal mischief with less than $1,000 in damage, both misdemeanors.
According to the police report from the Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office, Boston crossed into his neighbor's property at around 3am on March 25th carrying a ladder. The report reads that he was naked except for a watch, a headlamp, and some flip flops.
Once he got onto the property, police say he used the ladder to reach a flood light security camera attached to the wall, and forcefully removed it before leaving it on the ground.
The removal of the camera was forceful enough to pull a bunch of wiring loose from inside the wall, costing around $800 in repairs.
The properties are separated by a six-foot privacy fence, and according to the report, Boston went around the fence to an opening and walked past "No Trespassing" signs.
According to the report, Boston crossed into his neighbor's property before, back on December 24th, when he came onto the property and turned the flood lights off.
Boston told police the thing had been malfunctioning for weeks. Security footage and the neighbor both were able to confirm the identity of the nude man walking on the property matched Boston's driver's license photo.
Boston is the husband of Santa Rosa County School Board Chair Carol Boston.
