Have you ever seen an outpouring of love and giving like what is going on now with Betty White? It's pretty amazing!

Celebrities passing away is nothing new.  In fact, since the beloved Golden Girls star passed on New Years Eve, we've lost a great director, Peter Bogdanovich, a great actor, Sidney Poitier, a great comedian, Bob Saget, and a great singer, Ronnie Spector.

And yes, there were plenty of great online tributes and news segments that extolled the virtues of the recently deceased...but nothing like this.

There are currently at least 3 local Betty White celebrations taking place today, what would've been the actresses 100th birthday.

Overlook Village Senior Living is hosting a fundraiser by selling cheesecake bites for $7. The proceeds of the sale will go to Rescued in Moline. Their mission is to support animal welfare in the Quad Cities by donating their profits to local pets in need.

Crawford Brew Works will be participating in the #BettyWhiteChallenge. For every draft beer sold this day they'll be donating $1 to King's Harvest No-Kill Shelter in her name.
Wags and Wiggles QC will also be joining in on the fun with various dog merch for sale, including dog treats in which 100% of the proceeds will go to Kings Harvest.

If you can't make it they encourage you to donate on your own under the name "Betty White." Follow this link to do so:

The Ridge in Davenport is celebrating ALL THINGS BETTY on January 17th at 7pm where 10% Of ALL Sales from 7pm-12pm will be donated to the HUMANE SOCIETY of Scott County in honor of Betty White and throwing some confetti too.
