A Malibu Barbie Pop-Up Cafe Will Be In Illinois This Summer
Come on Barbie, let's go party (but first maybe grab something to eat).
The new "Barbie" movie is coming out and right on the heels of it, Bucket Listers has announced that a Malibu Barbie pop-up cafe will open in two U.S. cities. The cafe is specifically focused on Malibu Barbie and it looks like it will have all of the pink you could possibly stomach, along with a family-friendly atmosphere. It's "inspired by the groovy beachside energy of 1970s Malibu, California", according to the restaurant's organizers.
There will be a life-size Barbie box for you to take pictures with, exclusive merchandise, and classic dishes (prepared by a Master Chef finalist) with a Barbie-inspired twist. Here's what you'll find on the menu:
Really, all of that sounds good. It's not the cheapest endeavor though. Two bar seats or a table for 2 will run you $44, a table for 3 or 4 people is $66, and a table for 5 or 6 starts at $110.
It sounds like it will be a uniquely pink experience. Julie Freeland, Senior Director of Location-Based Entertainment at Mattel, said in a statement:
We are delighted to announce the opening of The Malibu Barbie Café, a truly unique dining experience that celebrates the Barbie brand and all she represents. At Mattel we are always looking for exciting, new ways to bring the Barbie experience to life. From the beach-loving décor to the menu, every detail has been thoughtfully designed to celebrate the iconic Barbie style.
Malibu Barbie Cafe Will Be In...
You'll find the Malibu Barbie Pop-Up Cafe in both New York City and in Chicago this summer.
According to NBC Chicago, the cafe is set to open on June 7th. Tickets are on sale now for the Malibu Barbie Pop-Up Cafe and you can get them and see the available dates at Bucket Lister's website.
