Mr. Cub Ernie Banks Has Passed

People will always remember the stats: Over 2500 hits, over 500 home runs, over 1600 RBI etc. The man played his prime in the prime of the greatest era of baseball.

Impressive numbers, however, Ernie Banks will also forever be remembered for always having a smile and a kind word to anyone he encountered. No professional franchise or city anywhere could be better represented than the way Mr. Cub stood for Chicago and the Cubs.

You'll be missed Ernie, but only until the next time friends and family meet in your shadow outside of Wrigley. Thank you for being you.
