Smoke was seen throughout the skies early Thursday morning after a fire broke out at Del's Metal in Rock Island.If you were in your car around 7:45 a.m. Thursday morning heading towards Rock Island, you most likely saw a lot of black smoke fill the Quad Cities sky. Early Thursday morning, a fire broke out at Del's Metal, 1605 1st Street in Rock Island.

The fire appears to be in the middle of a pile of scrap metal.

The cause of the fire is still unknown.
