Fans of Long John Silver's/A&W will be happy to hear the chain's Davenport location will reopen for business at the end of July, according to the Quad City Times. The restaurant closed for business following a fire in April of 2017.

The district manager of the restaurant's management company says the reopened location will feature a new and improved look.

"It wasn't the fire that took the whole building down, but it was the smoke and the heat that demolished the entire inside of the building," Church said. "So we had to start over from scratch and it took redesigning the whole building. Once it's done, it'll be really nice inside. It's not what you're used to seeing at a Long John Silver's with this updated look."

Long John Silvers and A&W are currently hiring 45 new employees, with starting pay at $9 an hour.
