Popular Illinois Zoo Invites You To Have Breakfast With A Giraffe
When you're having breakfast in the morning, normally your having breakfast with your parents, your siblings, or maybe even your friends. The only animals normally you would normally see would be your dog or cat, not an animal you'd find on the plains of Africa.
The Niabi Zoo in Illinois is inviting you to grab a seat at the breakfast table and enjoy some delicious food with a very special guest, on of their giraffes. That's, right, for World Giraffe Day, the Niabi Zoo is putting on Breakfast with the Giraffe.
If you love breakfast and giraffes (and who doesn't love both of those things?), then this is the perfect thing for you. You'll want to register ASAP since this normally fills up quickly.
Breakfast With The Giraffe Returns To The Niabi Zoo
Although World Giraffe Day falls on Friday, June 21st, the Niabi Zoo invites you and the entire family to start summer with a breakfast date with the giraffe on Saturday, June 22nd.
Breakfast with the Giraffe at the Niabi Zoo takes place on Saturday, June 22nd from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. Those who register get to enjoy a tall order of breakfast then go on a tour to meet the zoo's tall boy, Kenya, at the Giraffe barn. You'll find out how zookeepers care for this endangered species as they work to defend against what is being considered a “silent extinction.”
Breakfast includes entry to the Zoo that way you can enjoy attending World Giraffe Day activities on the festival lawn for fun with the whole family. Below are the prices:
- Child (age 2 & under) = Free
- Member – Child (age 3-12) = $25
- Non-Member – Child (age 3-12) = $30
- Member – Adult = $35
- Non-Member – Adult = $40
Breakfast will be served in the Discovery Center Gallery. After everyone is finished eating, Conservation Educators will lead the group on a walking tour to meet the Giraffe keepers and Kenya the Reticulated Giraffe. Registration ends Monday.
