A restaurant with a unique menu will close up shop in downtown Davenport.

It's sad to see restaurants go, and the latest in Davenport to leave is in the downtown area, specifically at 229 Brady.

Cavort Libations & Bites posted on Facebook that they will be closing after 5 years in business in the space.

Cavort's menu has always been unique (personally, I liked it and the vibe was good for dates), with cuisine officially listed as California, Southwest, Hawaiian, Vegan, and Vegetarian. Danger Noodles were a common feature on their menus.

The post from Cavort QC doesn't mention them moving anywhere else, so you're encouraged to use any gift cards you have now as they won't be honored in the future.

The post doesn't name a specific closing date, but it does say that their 60-day countdown has started. Staff will keep serving drinks and small plates until they run out of supplies.

Cavort QC's post encourages anyone who has ever said "I've been meaning to try that place!" to actually do it. If you're not familiar with it or can't place it, this is the downtown Davenport restaurant with the pretty flowers painted on the windows. They thank everyone who has supported them over the last 5 years.

Now, the space is for sale. If you're interested in purchasing their space at 229 Brady, Cavort says the space is for sale by owner through Marigold Resources.

They're not the first downtown restaurant to close this spring. Cavort QC's closure announcement comes less than a month after The Garrison on West 2nd in downtown Davenport suddenly closed.
