Pothole Work Already Being Done In Quad Cities
There's always a running joke about how long road work takes in the Midwest, thankfully work is already getting done when it comes to roads and potholes here in the Quad Cities. Thanks to all this gnarly weather, potholes are going to be awful this year, and it's up to road workers to put a stop to them fast.
Luckily it looks like men and women are already hard at work here in the QC.
Earlier this week we learned that you could report pothole in Davenport, and that may be why we are seeing work already being done.
If you would like to report a pothole over the phone, you can call Davenport Public Works at 563-326-7923. Or you can report the potholes here.
Places all over the US saw some crazy weather so many areas are dealing with potholes, and while you wait for your street to get fixed don't forget to follow some tips on how to avoid wrecking your car with potholes.
- Make sure your tires are properly inflated. Both over-inflated and under-inflated tires are more likely to be damaged by hitting a pothole.
- Slow down. While this is an obvious one, sometimes we get in a hurry, but the slower you drive the more time you have to react.
- Avoid puddles. You never know how deep that puddle might be.
You can find more quick tips here. It's great seeing the QC get the fixes it needs. Lets just hope this trend keeps going on.
