Pumpkin Spice Isn’t The Only Flavor Of Fall – Here’s Where To Get Others
As of this past Saturday, it's officially Fall! But pumpkin spice season started weeks ago.
It seems to be the quintessential flavor of the season. There's pumpkin spice lattes, pumpkin spice Cheerios; in the Quad Cities alone there are more than 100 pumpkin spice flavored items.
But I have to be honest: I don't like pumpkin spice. It's my dirty little secret every year. I don't want everything I eat to taste like pumpkin spice. There are more flavors out there than that!
So if you're like me, and want a little variety in your seasonal treats, here are some places you can go!
- 1
Coffee Revolution
When fall hits, pumpkin spice lattes seem to be the go-to drink. But there are so many more options! For instance, Coffee Revolution on Brady St. has four other flavors.
They offer S'mores, Caramel Apple, Pumpkin Pie and Pumpkin Cheesecake. Sure those last two are similar to pumpkin spice, but they're different enough!

Country Corner
When it comes time to pick your pumpkins, it helps to have a full stomach. Luckily, you don't only have to have pumpkin spice items at Country Corner Pumpkin Patch. According to our listeners, Country Corner has some of the best apple cider donuts in the area!
- 3
Tanner's Apple Orchard
Tanner's isn't quite in the Quad Cities, but according to our listeners, it's well worth a weekend drive. They also have apple cider donuts, along with fall flavored pies, cakes and other ciders!
- 4
Freight House
As the weather gets cooler, Farmer's Markets are going to start appearing less and less. So be sure to stop into the farmer's market at Freight House while you can! They've ALSO got apple cider donuts, that visitors seem to love.

Lagomarcino's
You can't get through the fall season without sweets. There's a whole DAY dedicated to just getting candy. Fortunately, for those of us who are considered "too old" or "creepy" to trick or treat, there's Lagomarcino's caramel apples! They're iconic, and now you're craving one. You're welcome.
