We get to choose the design for Moline's new playground!

It can be fun to take the kiddos to the park playground to play on a pretty day. That's where we see them make friends within 2 seconds of meeting someone as they climb up castle-looking things and spin around on merry-go-round-like contraptions.

Moline is looking for the community's input on what new features their next playground should have in Browning Park. You're allowed to vote for one favorite on the poll at Moline Parks & Rec's Facebook page. So here are the possible playground design options.

Which one do you think your kiddo would enjoy the most? Option 1 seems to be more climb-y than the other one, but Option 2 has more slides and more canopies. The main color schemes for both of them are pretty much blue and green.

The City of Moline does say that the designs can't be altered or changed- you're voting for one design or the other, period. The color schemes might also vary a bit.

You don't have to be a Moline resident to cast your vote. You can get more details on how to do that on Moline Parks & Rec's Facebook page. If you don't have Facebook but you still want to cast your vote, you can email parksandrec@moline.il.us. Voting is open through August 12th.

Hopefully your kiddo won't have to wait too long to enjoy the new playground. The new playground in Browning Park (which is at 16th & 23rd Streets) is set to open sometime next year.
