Quad Cities’ ‘Leg Up for Olivia’ Wants to Give Back
Little Olivia McCormick's story continues and they want to share the love they've been given from the Quad Cities.
Happy 5th Birthday to Olivia McCormick!
Last Valentine's Day, B100 got wooed and amazed when we met this little cutie. The team covered Olivia McCormick's story last year when her Mom circulated a picture of Olivia, asking for cards for her birthday. Thanks to our loving community and staff, not only did she get over 500 cards and a surprise birthday party at her home with the Davenport Police Department, but she stole many hearts in and around the Quad Cities.
Little Olivia was diagnosed with congenital pseudarthrosis of the fibula – a condition where bones break easily. The breakage often takes awhile to heal, if at all.
While Olivia continues her healing journey, there's something more she wants to do. She wants to give back to other children who are also going through tough times like hers.
"We are asking for donations of small paw patrol figures or stuffed toys. We will be donating them to Quantum House and Ronald McDonald House. Both have helped us along the way in Olivia's medical journey.
Just like the paw patrol slogan: No job is to big, no pup is to small. We would like to reminds kids fighting tough medical conditions: No condition is to big, No child is to small."
