It seems like there's always a "can't miss" solution to curing the dreaded hangover. Could this be the cure that really works? Researchers say yes.

Australian scientists at CSIRO found that consuming pears or pear juice before drinking can dramatically reduce the symptoms of hangovers – in particular, memory loss and trouble concentrating. Researchers believe the pear juice helped to metabolize alcohol in the blood. [Metro]

Of course...the key is doing it BEFORE you actually drink. Consuming pears once you're already hungover won't help...everyone knows that's what pancakes are for ;-)
