The Counties In Iowa & Illinois Where You’re Most Likely To Get Robbed

It seems like The Quad Cities can't go one day without hearing of some burglary, robbery, shooting, vandalism, etc...

Have you ever wondered what the difference between a burglary and a robbery was? Burglary is the felony of breaking into and entering the house and/or any of various buildings, with intent to steal. Robbery is also considered a felony and is the taking of the property of another person in the robber's immediate presence, against his or her will, by violence or intimidation.

Now that we have that settled, are you ready for some unsettling news?

WQAD reports that FindTheHome.com synthesized data from the 2014 FBI Uniform Crime Report and identified counties with the highest robbery rates per state, Scott County came in at no. 1 for Iowa.

The no. 1 spot for the state of Illinois was not surprisingly Cook Co. which incorporates most of the Chicago Metro.

Compared to all other states, Iowa's Scott Co. ranked no. 37 and Cook Co. came in at no. 20.

What's the county with the highest robbery rate in the U.S.? Baltimore City in Maryland - luckily nowhere near the Quad Cities, so let's all let out a big sigh of relief.
