The list of construction for 2016 is growing and includes work in both Iowa and Illinois. According to The Bi-State Regional Commission here is a general time frame for seven upcoming projects.

I-74 Mississippi River 

  • Spring & Fall 2016 – Nighttime lane closures while crews patch the road on the Iowa side
  • May – September 2016 – Lane closures in each direction while crews repair bridge approach structures from the Illinois side to the end of the viaduct just south of 7th Avenue.
  • Spring 2016 – Nighttime lane closures for annual bridge washing

I-80 

  • Spring & Fall 2016 – Nighttime lane closures for annual roadway patching in Iowa and for for annual bridge washing

I-80 over the Rock River 

  • March 2016 – November 2017 – Parts of I-88 will be reconstructed and replace with traffic down to one lane in each direction.

I-280 

  • Spring & Fall 2016 – Nighttime lane closures for roadway patching in Iowa and for to wash the bridge.

U.S. 67 Centennial Bridge Mississippi River 

  • Spring 2016 – Sidewalk closure for a week while crews paint the sidewalk

Government Bridge and Moline Arsenal Bridge

  • April – June 2016 – Intermittent one-lane closures are expected while bridge components are inspected.
  • Spring 2016 – Intermittent lane closures to wash the bridge.
  • Quarterly starting in April 2016 – Intermittent one-lane closures for drain flushing on the Government Bridge, Rock Island Viaduct, and Moline Arsenal Bridge.
  • TBD 2016 – Roads will be completely closed on two different weekends while crews upgrade railroad hydraulic components.
