This Hy-Vee Is A One Of Its Kind In Iowa & Illinois

When you think of Hy-Vee stores, it's easy to think they all have the same features: Hy-Chi, a produce section, a deli counter, a bakery, a meat counter, and all of the typical features. But a Hy-Vee store in eastern Iowa has a unique feature that you can only find at that store.

At first, you won't think it's that special, but when you learn more about it, you're going to want your local Hy-Vee to add it to this department.

Welcome, to Hy-Vee in Clinton

Recently, I took a trip to Hy-Vee in Clinton (901 S 4th St.) because I was craving something: a sandwich. Yes, being from Clinton, I know Homer's Deli in the Lyons District has the best sandwiches in town, but have you had the Hy-Vee garlic roast beef on a sandwich yet?

While I was there, I told store manager Matt Chenoweth that his Hy-Vee store had a unique feature at the deli counter. The Clinton Hy-Vee store has a sub sandwich line where you can get made-to-order sandwiches like you're at Subway.

Getting A Hy-Vee Sandwich

Rachel Huff, the food service manager at the Clinton Hy-Vee store, was the one making sandwiches when I arrived.

I shouldn't need to tell you how a sub sandwich line works, so I'm not going to. All I want to say is that every time I've gotten a sandwich at the Hy-Vee deli counter in Clinton, there truly has been a friendly and helpful person there to make it.
