It seems like every time I turn around, another one of my favorite local places is closing up shop.

This one makes me especially bummed out, since I'm a coffee fanatic.

Jones St. Java House, which has been a Le Claire staple for the last few years, just announced over the weekend that they are closing sometime between March 29-31.

The coffee shop said on their Facebook page:

If you've never had the chance to stop into Jones St., go NOW. Not only do they have delicious drinks and tasty baked goods, but their customer service has always been top notch. It's been a favorite of mine since I first set foot in the Quad Cities. Even Hilary Clinton stopped at Jones St. during her 2016 campaign, and it made national news.

One of my favorite photos of my daughter was taken at Jones St, when she was just an infant. I'm glad we've been able to make sweet memories at the shop, but it's always tough to say goodbye.
