Last weekend, two people from Clinton were arrested for possession and intent to sell meth. This is the latest drug bust as Clinton police are trying to crack down on drugs in the area.

On Tuesday, officials from the Clinton Police Department announced that at the start of this past weekend, two individuals were arrested and booked into jail for the intent to sell Methamphetamine. This news came via the Clinton Police Department's Facebook page.

According to the announcement on social media, officials say that the Clinton Police Department, Blackhawk Area Task Force,

along with the Street Crimes and Targeted Enforcement Team (SCATT) finished a drug investigation which ultimately lead to the arrest of two subjects. Both of the subject were arrested on Friday, January 29th, 2021.

The two subjects arrested on Friday include Murray Dee Henricks Jr. 23, and Whitney Sue Joslin. 22, both of Clinton, IA.

Officials from the Clinton Police Department said in their press release that both Henricks and Joslin were arrested on the same charges. They were charged with Possession with the Intent to Delivery Methamphetamines over 5 grams, and Failure to Affix Drug Tax Stamp.

There was no details on if Henricks or Joslin have been released from the Clinton County jail or not.

The Clinton Police Department does remind people that criminal charges are merely an accusation and all defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
