Two Davenport Pools To Close For A Short Time For A Refresh
In the thick of this summer heat dome, everyone's favorite way is to jump in a pool. If you don't have one of your own, you're probably visiting one of the several pools or splash pads throughout the Quad Cities.
Two pools in Davenport will be closed for a brief period of time. Because someone with the parks and recreation department was thinking, they are only closing one at a time so the other one can continue to stay cool during this heat wave.
Two Davenport Pools To Be Temporarily Closed
The Davenport Parks and Recreation Department has announced that its two city pools are getting a glow-up. Slides at both aquatic centers will be repaired and refreshed. This means that during the transition, each aquatic center will need to be closed. The good news is that they won't be closed at the same time.
One of the aquatics centers was actually closed starting yesterday. The Fejervary Aquatics Center is closed now through Sunday, June 23rd. The Annie Wittenmyer Aquatic Center will be closed Monday, June 24th through Sunday, June 30th.
